Books Are Fun - Helicopter Recall

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE

Imagine Nation Books, Ltd. (also trading as Books are Fun), in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, is issuing this Safety Notice and recall of the “Fly Dragonfly” remote-controlled, rechargeable model helicopter distributed by Imagine Nation Books, Ltd./Books Are Fun in the United States between August 2009 and January 2010. The model helicopter also is called the “Queen Bee” in the accompanying instruction manual. Note that other models of remote-controlled helicopters distributed at other times by Imagine Nation Books, Ltd./Books Are Fun are not subject to this recall.

Imagine Nation Books, Ltd./ Books Are Fun has received reports that the circuit board and/or battery pack of certain of the Fly Dragonfly/ Queen Bee helicopters may overheat. This may pose a burn or fire risk to consumers, although there have been no reports of any bodily injury.

Consumers should immediately stop using the “Fly Dragonfly/Queen Bee” helicopters and contact Imagine Nation Books, Ltd./Books Are Fun for instructions on receiving a full refund. The sales representative who sold the product will not accept returns or provide a refund. The Consumer Product Safety Commission will monitor the effectiveness of this recall.
